Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the FieldProof app ("FieldProof", "the App", "we") handles your information. FieldProof helps remodeling contractors create a dispute-ready job closeout record — completion photos, client approval, a handwritten signature, and a shareable PDF.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

To let you build and share a closeout record, FieldProof stores the following locally on your device:

• Company Company name, contact name, phone, email, and optional logo printed on your PDFs
• Jobs Job name, client name, optional job-site address, and job status
• Photos Completion photos you capture or import, optional annotations and captions
• Approval Client name, handwritten signature image, approval or decline notes
• Location Optional GPS coordinates attached to a photo (only when you grant permission)

This information is saved in the App's local database (SwiftData) and its Application Support directory. It is never transmitted to us.

3. Camera, Photos, and Location Permissions

• Camera — used to capture completion photos for a job. Photos are stored locally.
• Photo Library — used only if you choose to attach an existing photo to a checklist item.
• Location — optional. If you grant permission, the capture-time GPS coordinates may be attached to a photo as evidence metadata. You can decline or disable this at any time in iOS Settings, and FieldProof works fully without it.

4. Subscriptions and Third-Party Services

FieldProof Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are governed by Apple's privacy policy. We use RevenueCat to manage and validate subscription status.

For this purpose, an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your purchase/receipt information may be processed by RevenueCat. This does not include your job data, photos, signatures, client details, or PDFs. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Sharing PDFs

When you share a generated closeout PDF through the iOS share sheet, you choose the destination (email, messages, cloud storage, printing, etc.). Anything you share leaves the App under your control and becomes subject to the privacy policy of the service or recipient you select.

6. iCloud Backup

If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, iOS may include FieldProof's local data in your encrypted device backup. This is managed entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can exclude the App from backups in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual jobs, photos, and PDFs inside the App at any time. Deleting the App removes all associated local data from your device permanently.

8. Children's Privacy

FieldProof is a business tool intended for professional contractors and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because FieldProof stores your data locally and does not maintain a copy on our servers, you can exercise these rights directly within the App and through iOS Settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
